We are looking to hire a top-notch Finance Manager to join our growing team at Tabsquare. Reporting directly to one of the founders, you will have a rare opportunity to grow in your career with a high-energy, mission-driven company. You will own and play a significant role in all core finance and accounting functions, and help to define processes, procedures and market expansion. You will be part of the management team driving more efficient and effective decision making to help TabSquare reach its long term goals. You will lead the preparation of a monthly forecast, annual budget, cash flow management, and long range planning. In addition to making recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities you’ll be expected to manage the finance team and handle day-to-day financial transactions, process accounts receivable/payable, payroll, general bookkeeping, invoicing, paying vendors, managing commissions, and much more! ou should be comfortable with working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing startup environment and show great initiative about what you can do in this role. Key Resposibilities would include:
Revenue recognition compliance for subscription-based model and one-time sales model, and the related COGS reporting and compliance; Managing audit process with external auditors
Assist in establishment of Overseas entities and oversee worldwide consolidation of these entities, technical guidance to the team members to perform the monthly consolidation with limited system automation while looking for future system upgrades.
Oversee and review accounts payable, employee expense reports, support other day-to-day finance functions , month-end close process and develop internal best practices
Prepare, update and analyze financial statements including: Key SaaS metrics, budget versus actuals, board packages, and others
Participate in annual budgeting cycle and ongoing reforecast; build and maintain a complex financial model
- Create and maintain management reports, board presentations, and investor communications like quarterly investor financial reporting packages for outside investors
Reconcile and analyze all balance sheet accounts and key P&L accounts
Participate and/or lead system automation, process improvement and implementation projects – Payroll Systems, accounting system, forecasting system, etc.
Assist in reviewing and negotiating key legal contracts
Act as a business partner with all other teams across the company to build scalable processes and drive best practices
- Bachelor’s degree in financial accounting (or another related field); CPA certification required (active, preferred)
5+ years industry experience required; Big-4 and/or high-growth startup experience are both preferred
Impeccable ethics and strong audit skills across all aspects of accounting and finance
Excellent communication skills: written, oral, presentation, in-person and on the phone.
Attentive to complex details, and able to conduct technical accounting research and make sound proposals
Strong problem solving skills, ability to organize and complete large-scale projects and have a passion for process improvements
Strong system skills – Excel, Quickbooks Online, ShareWorks, and other comparable systems
Self-motivated, curious, diligent and ability to work independently
